Thornton Wedding
Weddings have been something I have loved since I can remember. The wedding dresses in particular have always been the part of a wedding that have always drawn my attention. Growing up my mom always told me I was going to be a beautiful bride. In high school I was able to model wedding dresses. To this day I still have not gotten to wear an amazing wedding gown so maybe that is why I love to be a part of other peoples weddings.
This wedding, in particular, was super special to me. This is the wedding of my sister and her long time boyfriend. When I found out they were engaged I was so happy for them. When she asked me to be her photographer, I cried. Then she flew all the way to North Carolina to find her wedding dress, just so I was there to help her pick it out. She is my best friend and being able to be a part of her very special day is something I truly cherished.
The wedding was held in South Dakota at an amazing place that had a small river running through the property. The weather turned out perfect for their special day. It wasn't too hot or too cold. Everyone showed up and the whole wedding started on time. My niece and nephew were the officiants of the wedding which made it even more special for my sister. I had the best assistant and was able to capture many forever memories of this super special day. Being able to take these forever memories for her will always be something I hold close to my heart.
From the dress that was altered by our aunt to the hand crocheted boquet made by our other sister, I now have something to strive for when I do finally get to have my own wedding.
